Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is an impending Bollywood romantic comedy film written and directed by debutant Shakun Batra.The film, produced by Karan Johar under his banner of Dharma Productions, stars Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor in their first film together. Actors Ram Kapoor, Boman Irani and Ratna Pathak Shah will be seen in supporting roles.Originally slated to released on October 7, 2011, the film will now release on February 10, 2012.

Ek Main Aur Ekk Tu is described by Karan Johar as \”a clever, feel-good, slice-of-life comedy.\”

Production :

Pre-production work on the film commenced in July 2010 when Karan Johar announced his plans of making a new project with debutant Shakun Batra.As principal photography commenced in Las Vegas, Nevada, media sources began to speculate that it was an adaption of the 2008 American rom-com film, What Happens in Vegas. Johar Nonetheless, quickly went to reject these reports, claiming that if he wanted to re-make the film, he would have bought the rights to it.Originally called Short Term Shaadi, the film\’s title and first look was launched by Johar in August 2011 thru the social marketing website of Twitter. According to him, \”Short Term Shaadi was just a unconfirmed title that attached itself to this film thru the making.

Filming and casting :

Following the successfulness of their prior collusion I hate Luv Storys ( 2010 ), Khan was signed on by Johar to play the film\’s male protagonist. In an attempt to sign on an actress who had never worked with Khan before, Kapoor was confirmed to play the female lead a couple of days later.Kapoor\’s pa, Randhir Kapoor was later approached to play her dad in the film.[6] Principal photography commenced in Nov 2010 in Las Vegas after Khan had finished working on his other project and later continued in L. A. . After completing the film\’s first schedule, the crew later shifted to shoot in Pataudi, the Indian state of Haryana.
